·  WO’s and full NCO’s of Leicester Sqns to wear Derbyshire Yeomanry Arm badge above rank badge with battle dress only.

·  WO’s and full NCO’s of Derby Sqns to wear Leicestershire Yeomanry Arm badge above rank badge with battle dress only.

·  In worsted embroidery at Public expense or in metal at Regimental expense.

· White lanyard worn with battle dress by all ranks.

· Bandsman to wear white buff shoulder belt with card case.

Lt.Col. A Murray-Smith, first CO of the LDY PAO from 1956-60. The "Lemon Yellow" pips are carried over from the Leicestershire Yeomanry.


This BD jacket belongs to Lt. Col. P V Radford, second commanding officer of the LDY PAO Regiment. Note the Div/Brigade TRF, this was the Derbyshire Yeomanry Div/Brigade TRF prior to amalgamation.


Khaki uniform 1949 Pattern (Made by Cohen & Co 1954) with brown leather buttons with buff type 44 pattern coloured belt and gaiters. Lemon yellow (LY) pips (crown) and LDY shoulder titles and collars. The shoulder TRF is the 49th Infantry Brigade.
